Newsflash

  • Heath Ledger and Sean Penn are in talks to star in a top-secret drama by writer-director Terrence Malick, the man behind Badlands and The Thin Red Line. Ledger would play a lead role opposite an actress, yet to be cast, with Penn taking a supporting role. Details of the plot have not been revealed - often the case with Malick's films - but an insider told the Hollywood Reporter it was a "complex drama". Filming is set to begin in March.
  • Tree Of Life’s journey has been long and arduous. Like a third grade game of Oregon Trail, the script’s voyage has been chock-full of deserting actors, money shortages, and lots and lots of dead oxen. A few years ago, Colin Farrell was in talks to play the principle protagonist, but after a month long shooting schedule in India was announced, the well-endowed actor cut bait. Rumors once again began recirculating yesterday, and Farrell is nowhere to be found.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, both Sean Penn and Heath Ledger are amidst negotiations to take up the supporting and staring roles respectively. The general plotline follows, well, no one really knows what the Terrence Malick script is about. I’m guessing it’s not a sequel to Fast Times At Ridgemont High or Lords Of Dogtown. Maybe someday. Production is set to begin in March; so, expect to be seeing this during the Summer of ‘09 or slightly sooner.

First of all, as letters and comments for Heath and his loved ones keep growing on our MySpace, I wanted to take the time to actually comment to all the fans who have supported Heath throughout his career.

To Everyone Who Loved Heath

Early this week, we all lost someone special.

Whether you knew him or not.... didn't make any difference.
Heath lived in all of us.

His presence in this world touched each of us everyday, in thousand different ways.

Through his acting, Heath has made us smile, laugh and even cry,
and captured our hearts and the deepest of our emotions.

And while we all mourn for Heath, I also understand the pain this tragic event has brought to all of you...

As you may know, I have started this site back in 2002.
I have been a web designer for the last decade, and after 5 years, I started being less passionate about my career.

I needed to do something to regain my passion... and my path to self discovery (and recovery) happened to be heathledger.net.

Through this site, I was able to connect to his fans from all over the world, meet Heath.... and I realized that through all of you, my life regained it's color and passion that it had once lost.

All I can say is that I respect and admire everyone who have been so passionate over the years. You guys really know the true meaning of "unconditional love". And I know, from meeting Heath that he cherished each and every one of you. He has told me personally how thankful he was for all the support his fans have given him.

I could only hope that I was able to convey this message from Heath, and the "unconditional love" he had for all of you through this site.

Thank you for loving Heath, supporting this site, and furthermore, giving me the opportunity to grow as a person.

"For death is no more than a turning of us over from time to eternity." ~William Penn.

Our Deepest Thanks PDF Print E-mail
Saturday, 26 January 2008
Right now, all of us at heathledger.net would like to take a moment to thank everyone who has commented on our page, leaving beautiful messages and poems for Heath and his family members.

At time, the HLNET MySpace page has become the largest Heath Ledger tribute online.

We have been operating out of New York since 2002, and just like everyone else, we were in shock and disbelief when we were informed of the news on the 22nd.

Our first encounter with Heath happened back in 2002, where we received an invite to the Toronto International Film Festival.

Couple years went by, and we had the chance to get to know him personally while he resided in New York.

Heath was the most caring person we have ever met.
He was charming, and had a very unique sense of humor.
He was not conceited in the slightest bit.

He was everything that a great person should be.

We will miss him.

At this time, we would very much appreciate it if you could add our page to the top of your friend list, so that our online tribute will reach many others... just like you.

Last but not least...

We do not know where the future is headed for heathledger.net, however, when our site is back online, we would like to post everyone's comments on the site. If for any reason, you would not like your comment to be posted on heathledger.net, please email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Thank you for loving Heath and giving him the support for many many years.

Best regards,

Got Crappy Holiday Gifts? PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 08 January 2008

not a typical Heath news... but rather exciting.

For the longest time, all of us at hlnet thought that these "free" (iphone, ps3, etc. etc) was a scam until we came across this site. We're sharing this with you, for those of you who spent a lot of money for the holidays and got crappy presents. Some of us here sure did!

We checked out this site, which actually gave us our first iphone, (actually $580) for:

1. Signing up
2. Completed 1 offer (which we chose BLOCKBUSTER... but of course.) and
3. Referred 11 people to get some moolah.

The only thing is the 11 people that we referred, each had to complete 1 offer.
So anyone interested, check it out. The trick is, if you have a lot of friends, you need to make sure to choose the referral method. (This way, you only have to spend $10 or so for just 1 offer).
If you choose the POINTS method, they make you do several offers, which will cost you more money in the long run.

Awesome stuff! Have fun!
